Workshop Description
The I Ching is an ancient and venerable discernment tool. It has been revered as a wisdom source by billions of people for thousands of years. In this workshop, I present the timeless wisdom of the I Ching from a mystical Christian perspective.
The workshop is facilitated by me, Roger (Rogelio) Sessions. I have more than 50 years of experience with the I Ching. I am the author of the book, Wisdom's Way; The Christian I Ching. I am commissioned by the Episcopal Church as a Spiritual Director. Until moving to Guatemala in 2017, and then Guanajuato in 2019, I was on staff at the Austin Presbyterian Seminary as a Spiritual Director.
Carl Jung wrote of the I Ching, “For more than thirty years I have interested myself in this oracle technique or method of exploring the unconscious, for it has seemed to me of uncommon significance.”
In this workshop, you will learn:
- How the I Ching fits into modern mystical Christian theology
- How to form a query for the I Ching
- How to use the 49 query stones to receive an answer from the I Ching
- How to map that answer to two of the 64 archetypes of the I Ching
- How to interpret those archetype with respect to the query
- How to use that interpretation as a guide for important life decisions.
Important Information
This workshop is intense. Because of the intimate sharing that occurs in a typical workshop, all participants must agree to confidentiality. You may discuss what you received in the workshop and what the presenter shared, but not what other participants shared.
The workshop is limited to three participants.
The workshop will be held on the terrace of my house, weather permitting, in Guanajuato. I'll provide directions upon registration. My house is convenient to buses and taxies, and street parking is usually available. It is not handicap accessible, but it isn't as bad as most of Guanajuato.
I have no control over your donations. Once you have donated, I have no way to make refunds. If for some reason you cannot attend, consider your donation an act of love to a good cause.

You then have 24 hours to make a donation of at least 500 pesos (25 USD) Email me proof of your donation and I will confirm your registration.
